Our guarantee, in full
Five years on our workmanship, sub-base included. Ten years on the paving itself, backed by the manufacturer.
Two guarantees, two different people standing behind them
The ten years on the blocks is the manufacturer's warranty — Marshalls, Brett or Tobermore, depending on what you choose. It covers the paving against manufacturing defects. It does not cover a driveway that sinks.
The five years is ours, and it's the one that matters, because almost every driveway failure is a workmanship failure rather than a product one. It covers settlement of the sub-base — the part you can't see and can't check.
Covered
- Settlement of the sub-base
- Edge restraint movement
- Blocks lifting or rocking from installation causes
- Drainage falls not performing as specified
- Workmanship on jointing and cutting
Not covered
- Tree root heave
- Excavation by third parties (utilities, other contractors)
- Vehicle loads beyond normal domestic use
- Oil and chemical staining
- Efflorescence (a natural, temporary lime bloom on new concrete products)
The guarantee runs five years from practical completion, not from the date you paid a deposit. It transfers to the next owner of the property.
How to claim
[TO BE CONFIRMED — claim process and response time]
A named contact and a stated response time will be published here and printed on the guarantee document itself, so a future owner of the house knows exactly who to ring and how quickly to expect an answer.
