Plain-language terms. Nothing here replaces the written quote for your job — if anything in the quote conflicts with this page, the quote wins.
Quotes
Every job is quoted in writing at a fixed price before we start. The quote sets out what is included: dig-out depths, type-1 sub-base or the correct base for the surface, edging, drainage, and clearing up afterwards. If the ground throws up something the quote couldn't have foreseen — buried concrete, a failed soakaway, unrecorded services — we stop, explain it and agree any change with you in writing before continuing.
Payment
We don't ask for large sums up front. Payment stages are set out in your quote — typically a deposit to book the work into the diary and the balance on completion, when you've seen the finished job.
Guarantee
Our work is covered by a five-year workmanship guarantee that includes the sub-base — the part of the job you'll never see, and the part most failures come from. The guarantee page sets out what's covered and what isn't.
Your responsibilities
- Clear access to the work area on the agreed days, and parking nearby for our vehicles where possible.
- Telling us about anything buried in the area we'll dig — pipes, cables, tree stumps.
- Utility covers and meter boxes stay accessible; we'll set recessed covers to match where needed.
If something goes wrong
Ring us. Most problems are settled with a visit and a repair inside the guarantee period, and we'd always rather know than not.
